Do I need to submit a claim, or does the service centre handle it?
Just log into your Hoot portal, book a service at one of our Hoot-approved service centres, and when you arrive, let them know “I’m with Hoot”, then provide your details and Hoot Plan number. That’s it! Hoot and the service centre will take care of the rest, including the bill.
What additional benefits do I get with my Service Plan?
Your Hoot Service Plan includes a FREE Benefit of R500 per service for all wear and tear items. This means you get extra coverage for essential parts that naturally wear down over time.
How long does my plan last?
Your Service Plan gives you coverage for either 2 or 3 services, depending on the option you choose at sign-up. The plan lasts for either 24 months (2 services) or 36 months (3 services).
Can I cancel my plan?
Your Hoot Plan runs on a monthly debit order, ensuring your service costs are covered when the time comes. If a payment isn’t made on time, there’s a 15-day grace period to catch up. If no payment is received after that, your cover will not be in force, and your plan will be cancelled.
If you need to update your banking details, you can do it yourself through the Hoot self-service platform, just be sure to do so at least 10 days before your next payment.

Is there a waiting period?
Yes, there is a 3 month waiting period from the start date of your plan before you can claim for a service. You’ll need to have made at least one premium payment before your cover becomes active.
After that, you’re good to go.
What am I covered for?
Your Hoot™ Service Plan is NOT an insurance product and only provides cover for serviceable components as per your vehicle manufacturer’s specification.
We can provide the details of these components should you require them.
