Simplifying vehicle service plans: Your comprehensive guide to Hoot’s customer-centric approach

Are you looking for service plan coverage for your vehicle but struggling to make sense of the options available? Whether you are a first-time vehicle owner or someone who is looking for some flexibility with your options, HootCover is here to help. Our helpful guide will help you navigate through our reliable, budget-friendly service plans that are easy to understand, value-packed and transparent.

Step 1: What do the HootCover service plans cover?

To better understand what HootCover can do for you, let’s start with you – the customer. It all started with recognising that vehicle owners need products that are easy to understand with transparent coverage, all at an affordable and customisable rate. This is why we developed easy and affordable vehicle service plans that give you peace of mind.

Service plans

We have two main service plans designed to assist our customers in planning for their future vehicle services. These include our Hoot Service Mobility and our Hoot Wear and Tear. Depending on your needs, you may opt for one plan or both.

Hoot Service Mobility

What it covers:
The manufacturer-specified parts, labour and oil required for the periodic servicing of your vehicle.*

Specified parts:
Fan/ alternator, filters (air, fuel, oil, and pollen), v-belt, consumables, spark plugs, sump plug washer, differential oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid.

Plan cost:
Starts at R308/month

Hoot Wear and Tear

What it covers:

All essential wear and tear components and the related labour charges are not covered by your manufacturer’s or extended service plan.*

Components:

Wipers (left, right, set), battery, other electrical, disks (front, rear), and the pads (front and back).

Plan cost:

From as little as R125/month

Hoot’s Wear and Tear Plan is designed to cover the needs of your vehicle when there is a gap between a service plan and a maintenance plan.

Very often a vehicle comes standard with a service plan and/or a warranty. These plans, unfortunately, won’t cover the wear and tear items like wipers, batteries, brake pads or discs.

This is where HootCover’s Wear and Tear plan comes in handy. When you need to service your vehicle, you can rest easy knowing that your wear and tear items will be covered and protect your pocket.

*Please note that our Hoot Mobility Plans are NOT insurance products and that mechanical and electrical breakdowns are not covered under this plan. We will always make sure we are transparent with our offerings, that is our promise to you.
